Nick Cannon and NAS decided to make cultural remarks about the state of hip-hop. What they ended up doing it making themselves look like creepy assholes cause they made an incredibly racist song extremely catchy. And the last thing I want in my life is a song with the chorus, “Eat dat watermelon, eat dat watermelon, eat dat watermelon–sho’ is good!” to be stuck in my head. Maybe next time they decide to do this they could make the song way less catchy. Just sayin’.
Spike Lee did this bigger and better a few years back with “Bamboozled.” Anything after that is just amateurs fucking around.
The genre is nothing now but a bunch of ignorant fucks with nothing to say. Who gives a shit what you are wearing, what you are driving, or how much cash you have. I do agree that is has spawned a generation of uneducated dipshits with vulgar and unrealistic ideals but in the end, stand up and be a man and don’t blame whitey for your stupidity and greed.
